The numbers drawn for Saturday night's $1.3 billion Powerball jackpot were 22, 27, 44, 52 and 69, with a Powerball 9, the lottery said.
Powerball previously said the draw was delayed because Participating Lottery needed to “complete the necessary pre-draw procedures”.
“Per Powerball game rules, every ticket sold nationwide must be checked against two different computer systems before the winning numbers are drawn. This is done to ensure that every ticket sold for the Powerball drawing is accounted for and has an even chance to win. Tonight, we have a jurisdiction that Additional time is required to complete the pre-draw process,” Powerball read a statement.
The Powerball jackpot soared to $1.3 billion ahead of Saturday night's drawing after a record no jackpot win.
The Powerball jackpot hasn't been won since Jan. 1, when a ticket sold in Michigan netted an $842.4 million jackpot.
Saturday sees the 41st drawing in the current jackpot run — tying the record for the most consecutive lottery game drawn without a jackpot winner. According to Powerball, only two previous Powerball jackpot runs have reached 41 drawings.
The estimated $1.3 billion jackpot is the fourth largest jackpot in Powerball history and eighth largest overall when factoring in Mega Millions jackpots.
If a player wins Saturday night's Powerball jackpot, they can choose between an estimated lump sum, a pre-tax payout of $608.9 million, or $1.3 billion in annual payments, pre-tax — a lump sum followed by 29 annual payments. Payments increase by 5% every year.
According to Powerball, the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.
Powerball tickets are $2 per play. Tickets are sold in 45 states including Washington, DC, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.
