Swiss bank UBS to begin share buyback of up to $2 billion

UBS announced a new share repurchase program of up to $2 billion on Tuesday, with a total of up to $1 billion expected to take place this year.

“As previously reported, we expect to repurchase shares of up to USD 1 billion in 2024, starting after the completion of the merger of UBS AG and Credit Suisse AG, which is expected to occur by the end of the second quarter,” the bank said. In a statement.
