The Royal Family has removed from its website a historical statement confirming Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s relationship.

A statement from Prince Harry’s spokesperson in 2016 confirmed the couple were together and called for an end to the “waves of abuse and harassment” Meghan was facing.

It cited “racial comments in opinion pieces” and “overt sexism and racism in social media trolls and internet article comments”.

King Charles was praised today for supporting the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in central London.

She was announced as the prestigious school’s new patron last week, taking over the role once held by her mother, Elizabeth.

David Harewood, chairman of Rada, said: “I think drama is dropping out of school curricula now, which is really sad to see. [a] I think the reigning monarch, who is a supporter of the arts, a supporter of the arts, is really, really excited.

Buckingham Palace announced that the royal family would postpone any engagements that would “distract or detract from the election campaign”.

When Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced the July election last week, the King and Prince William called off all their engagements.

Camilla made the announcement during a visit to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in central London today alongside King Charles.

While there, he spoke to student Daniel Mays about his role in music Guys and Dolls and said he saw it with his family at the London Bridge Theatre.

“It was wonderful,” she said.

Delighted by the accolades, the actor admitted that he remembered the Queen’s visit.

“I left three months ago and at the end of my run she came with her grandchildren,” he said. “We were only told on the day there was an important royal visit, so we were wondering who it would be.

“It was a high-speed production and we were wondering if she was going to stay in the seat or stand up.

“It was the longest and most exhausting thing I’ve ever been a part of — but a great time.”

The royal couple met staff, students and alumni and enjoyed an extract from the current production.

Aimed at creating a sense of community, reducing loneliness and raising money for charity, the event will see people up and down the country eating and socializing with their neighbours.

In a statement released ahead of the event, the Queen Consort said: “As the proud host of the Big Lunch, I send my warmest wishes to the millions of people across the country who join their neighbors for picnics and street parties. Weekend, sharing food, friendship and fun.

“I hope you all have a wonderful time!”

The news comes amid confirmation from the military that the monarch’s official birthday parade will still go ahead despite the upcoming general election.

The event is famous for the royal family’s appearance on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, which Kate attended in 2023.

According to recent reports, she has “turned a corner” due to her cancer treatment but is expected to stay out of the public eye for the foreseeable future.

Meanwhile, King, who has been battling cancer, returned to work last month and has kept up a number of engagements despite reports of a reduced summer schedule.

The rehearsal is set to take place on Thursday, following news that the King’s official birthday parade, Trooping the Colour, will go ahead.

The rehearsal will not be without spectators and around a thousand spectators are expected to watch, giving all players and horses a chance to perform before the event on June 15.

“It is a great relief that he is tolerating the medication and is actually doing very well,” the release said. “Of course, it was a very challenging and anxious time. Everyone rallied around her – William, her parents and her sister and brother.

Buckingham Palace issued a statement saying that all engagements “that would distract or detract from the election campaign” would be postponed.

However, events are being reviewed on a case-by-case basis and Trooping the Color was expected to intervene further.
