Fifteen years after their chaotic break-up, record-breaking Britpop band Oasis are on the verge of a reunion.
The band, fronted by Mancunian brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, have teased an announcement at 8am on Tuesday 27 August, which is widely expected to mark a reunion.
Oasis, known for hits like “Wonderwall,” “Don’t Look Back in Anger” and “Champagne Supernova,” broke up in 2009 following a backstage brawl at the Rock ‘n’ Scene festival in Paris.
Since then, the Gallagher brothers have drifted apart, and a reunion seemed unlikely for a long time. Both Liam and Noel continued to release music through their own projects, Petey Eye and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.
However, there have been several hints of a possible reunion in recent months, with Liam’s appearance at Reading Festival on Sunday leading many fans to believe a reunion is imminent.
On Sunday night, both the Gallagher brothers and the band’s official Instagram account shared a message that the date was August 27th and 8am.

Now, harmony seems to exist.
