The 2023 MTV Video Music Awards Delivered on Tuesday.

Taylor Swift led the way with 8 total Appointments, including Artist of the Year, Video of the Year and a song for his 2022 hit “Anti-Hero.” On television she won in all the categories in which she was nominated.

Beyoncé, Doja, Carol G, Minaj and Shakira join Swift as the year’s nominees, marking the first time the artist of the year category has been all female since it was introduced in 2017. Shakira received the Video Vanguard Award. The night also welcomed a brand new genre of top Afrobeats.

Demi Lovato, Shakira, Olivia Rodrigo, Cardi B with Megan Thee Stallion, Diddy, Lil Wayne, Doja Cat and Fall Out Boy all performed during the ceremony.
