Bob Iger got the welcome a rock star deserves on Friday night, when about 12,000 fans gave the Disney CEO a super-sized panel at D23.
“Wow. It was more than a warm welcome,” Iger told the crowd. “Boy do I miss you.”
It was a homecoming for Iger, who came out of temporary retirement two years ago during last T23, an opportunity for Disney to show off upcoming projects from Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm and 20th Century.
Disney is known for churning out dozens of A-list stars. This year’s panel moved to the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., meaning twice as many people will be in the room as in years past. Ahead of the group, a pep group pumped up the crowd, while fans were given light-up bracelets and envelopes and cards featuring magician David Blaine’s logo and cards.

Daredevil: Reborn
Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige has revealed that season one will begin filming in March 2025, while season two is set to begin filming. Stars on stage included Charlie Cox (Daredevil), Vincent D’Onofrio (Wilson Fisk), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elton Henson (Foggy Nelson) and Jon Bernthal (The Punisher). “It’s a real honor,” Berndhall said of the return. I couldn’t be here with better people.

Black Panther: Wankanda Forever Filmmaker Ryan Coogler took the stage to talk about the Marvel show, centering on Riri Williams (Dominic Thorne), who made her film debut. The character is a genius MIT student who creates his own Iron Man-style suit. Thorne, Anthony Ramos, Lyryc Ross, Alden Ehrenreich and Regan Aliyah joined Coogler on stage to show off the footage. The show has been in the works for a long time and actually revealed footage at D23 in 2022.
“I always knew there was more to her story,” Coogler said.

A few weeks ago at San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel brought out something new Brave new world star Anthony Mackie, and showed the same scenes for both his movies, and Fantastic fourFrom Comic-Con. But Mackie told a story about watching Harrison Ford as the Red Hulk: “You have to admire Harrison Ford going this far.”
Ryan Reynolds Shows Gratitude (and Takes a Jab at Marvel)
Introducing the Marvel segment of the show, Deadpool & Wolverine Actor Ryan Reynolds has sent a video thanking fans for going to the movie. “Thank you very much for allowing us to do some juvenile comedy at Marvel’s expense. This is my way of expressing my love. Sure, save hte studio,” he said with a big laugh. “I’m going to introduce the original Miravel Jesus, Mr. Kevin Feige.”

Not much has been revealed about this new project, but Dwayne Johnson has introduced an image Monster Jam.
“We can create something that’s immersive and cool and fun,” Johnson said, calling it a live-action experience from the perspective of “these incredible monster trucks and their eccentric owners.”
Mona 2
Mona 2 Stars Auli’i Cravalho and Johnson moved the crowd by singing a song from her upcoming series. “Maui re-signs. Singing in absent keys. And my hair is so beautiful Mona 2,” joked Johnson, who shouted to her six- and eight-year-old daughters in the crowd.
The film is a sequel to the 2016 hit, which has been one of the most streamed films in the world for years. It was originally planned as a Disney+ TV series before being developed into a drama.
Viewers watched a new trailer, which has yet to be released online, and then Johnson turned things over to Disney’s Bergman, introducing him as “my twin.”
