Princess Kate is set to present the trophy in a rare appearance at the Wimbledon men’s final

Catherine, Princess of Wales, will present the trophy to the winner of the Wimbledon men’s final on Sunday, in what will be her second public appearance since announcing her cancer diagnosis in March, Kensington Palace confirmed on Saturday.

Catherine, who has been seen at an official event since December, will be on Center Court to watch defending champion Carlos Algaraz take on Novak Djokovic. However, she did not attend the women’s final on Saturday.

She last appeared in public in June to attend King Charles III’s birthday parade. Before that appearance, he released a statement saying he was making good progress with his treatment but had “good days and bad days.”

Catherine, 42, said chemotherapy and other treatment will continue for several more months. He said earlier that he would attend events during the summer.

It ended months of speculation about the princess’ health following major stomach surgery in January. He received support from family and the public when he made the announcement, including President Biden said, “Jill and I join millions around the world in praying for your full recovery.”

The 75-year-old king was also diagnosed with cancer this year. No royals have disclosed what type of cancer they have.
