Kate Upton looked like a blonde bombshell as she arrived at the star-studded 2024 Disney Upfront Showcase in New York City on Tuesday – after her Sports Illustrated cover was revealed.
The model, 31, hit the red carpet in a sexy skin-tight black midi dress that showed off her famous curves.
She wore an ankle-length frock with sheer black heels.
Rocking a striking tan, Upton looked absolutely radiant as she posed for photos at the event.
Her mother’s bouncy blonde curls cascaded down her chest and her make-up was soft yet smart.
Her chubby pout was super glossy and she made her blue eyes pop with smudged black eyeliner.
For a dewy glow, the buxom blonde dusted her cheeks with a luminous rosy-toned blush.
She flashed a bright smile as she posed with chiseled arms at her sides.
Tuesday marked a busy day for Upton, who hit the CBS morning show bright and early to unveil her selection to grace one of Sports Illustrated’s 60th anniversary covers, which includes seven special edition issues.
CBS’s Gayle King, Hunter McCrady and Chrissy Teigen were among the other nominees chosen for the special sizzling swimsuit shoot.
In her cover photo, the veteran model looked flawless in a red and pink Normaillot bikini as she stood with her arms above her head and her tantalizing stomach on full display.
‘It’s important to be confident in your body no matter what it looks like. Your voice matters. You can improve yourself by being confident,’ he said on the morning show.
‘It looks really good,’ he told CBS host Nate Burleson when he first saw the finished cover. ‘Tis never old, [Sports Illustrated] Always finds a way to surprise me.
After receiving six covers with the magazine, the mum-of-one said she felt it was the best decision for her.
“It completely changed my life,” he said of landing his first card. ‘This is my dream. Sports Illustrated is the only magazine that puts your name next to your photo.’
Upton retweeted the reveal on her Instagram, writing, ‘Happy to be back with my SI family! @yutsai88 , @mj_day and the entire SI team truly feel like a family. Thank you so much for sharing this incredible journey with all of you!’
SI Swimwear Editor-in-Chief MJ Day explained on CBS Mornings, ‘Listen, there are a lot of swimsuit photos in this magazine.
‘We’re not short on swimwear, but I love the idea that all these girls have to come together in a way that’s different for us.
‘I want the world to realize that sports illustration has become a powerful vehicle for change on a much wider scale.’
MJ added in a statement that he wanted to publish this year’s covers as it was the magazine’s 60th anniversary.
‘The 60th anniversary is a big deal. It may not be recognized as grandly as the number 50, but we felt the need to celebrate 60 wholeheartedly for one simple reason: because we humbly consider it the journey we’ve been on for the past 10 years. Revolutionary,’ she explained.
‘We have broken the same principles. We embrace diversity. We champion content.
‘With each passing year, we’re challenged to push the boundaries and redefine what sports defined swimwear is.’
