Super Bowl Parade of Chiefs Set for Valentine's Day

Kansas City Chiefs fans can show their love for the Super Bowl LVIII champions during a Valentine's Day parade through local streets on Wednesday.

The victory parade will begin downtown at 11 a.m. local time and last about 90 minutes, organizers announced Monday. The parade route will begin at 6th Street and Grand Boulevard and head south toward Union Station.

The parade will be followed by speeches from players, coaches and team president and CEO Clark Hunt outside Union Station at approximately 12:45 p.m.

Later this year, the Chiefs are expected to make a traditional trip to the White House and see if Taylor Swift, the team's most famous fan, will tag along.

Asked at Monday's press conference if the pop star could be a “plus-one” when he arrives at the White House to celebrate his second Super Bowl title in as many seasons, press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre replied, “It happens and it has to be up to the leaders, who's with them.” It's their decision to find out what's coming.”

“I can't speak to the attendance and who will be here,” Jean-Pierre added.

When pressed on whether players would be allowed to bring guests, Jean-Pierre said he wasn't sure about the protocol.

“That's a good question. I can't answer that right now. But, look, we're looking forward to them being here, Chiefs,” she said.
