Catherine, Princess of Wales, has left hospital almost two weeks after undergoing stomach surgery.
A statement from Kensington Palace said the princess had now returned to her home in Windsor and was “making good progress”.
She was kicked out of the London Clinic private hospital without appearing in public.
The exact nature of the surgery has not been revealed, but the princess will need several months to recover.
The princess spent 13 nights in hospital after her operation and is not expected to return to official duties until after Easter.
Kensington Palace said the Prince and Princess of Wales would like to send a “huge thank you” to the medical team at the central London hospital for the “well wishes they have received from around the world”.
A palace statement said the princess would “continue her character” from home.
Catherine, 42, was staying at the same private hospital as King and visited him before undergoing an enlarged prostate surgery on Friday.
According to the NHS, King is in hospital after being treated for a benign prostate problem, a common standard for non-cancerous and older men.
About a third of men over 50 have some symptoms of an enlarged prostate, a gland located below the bladder.
75-year-old King Charles' plans to undergo a “corrective procedure” on his prostate have been made public as a way to encourage other men to get prostate tests.
